Wolf Guard Battle Leader Bjurnin, the one-eyed rider. I usually take Saga of the Wolfkin with him so I painted up a small five wolf squad to follow him around as well.
Made a “Malediction token” for my runepriest out of an old DnD min that was collecting dust. Behind him are my on deck, 14 Blood Claws.
So there’s snow on the ground and it has put me in the mood to paint up my Space Wolves.
First up is the wolf lord on thunderwolf mount, Erik Morkai. Second attempt at light source, first time with red. I’m okay with it for now, but I think after a little more research on tutorials I’m going to touch it up.
Second, Ordin Wyrmbreaker, my rune priest in terminator armor. A small source effect on his glowing eye. I’m happy with how the cloak turned out, although it feels a little blank. Might attempt some free hand when I get into touch up mode.
Third, seven wolf guard terminators on deck with some base color.
Lastly, two more Thunderwolf cavalry. If you like the look of my thunderwolves they are from Raging Heroes. They are a little expensive, but since they were a gift I will gladly use them.
For as much as a money pit mini games can be, I’m actually really happy that my husband is back into Warhammer 40k.

I really like how my husband paints. It makes me want to paint awesome minis for Warhammer 40K.

So I went into my friendly local gaming store this afternoon and brought along my two boxes of rares. A lot of singles and playsets of stuff I’ve never traded away since I started playing Magic again (around Shadowmoor). I had ordered a box of Thunderwolves Calvary, I was trying to trade Magic cards for store credit to get my wolves.
While he looked through the two boxes I brought I looked through the new Necron codex, the miniature selection, and a graphic novel. I came back to the counter a couple minutes later and he had this giddy look on his face. He looks up and says, “How about 1000 for everything?”
So I came home with Thunderwolves Calvary, a drop pod, and two boxes of Space Wolves pack and I still have about 850 dollars in store credit. *giddy little nerd dance*

So I’m getting back in to wargaming. Space Wolves are my army. I’m pretty sure I will always be a Space Wolves player. I’ll more than likely be posting some of my minis over the next couple of months as I paint up my army that I’ve had for about five years.
